HOT STONE FACIAL
Inna is now offering a new hydrating and relaxing facial with hot stones.
Otherwise known as the “cocooning” face treatment. This would be a great one to pamper yourself! It is extra special for those that have dehydrated skin or dull complexions. Laura had the first taste a while back and enjoyed herself thoroughly. Her skin was refreshed and felt “plumped-up”. Call anytime to set up a personalized treatment plan for your skin with Inna.
Josiah says : Here’s a tip for your scalp: add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth of healthy hair.
CAMP SHERMAN GOES MOD
The MOD Collection from OPI is in!
Come get your bright colors for the season! Red, orange, yellow, pink, green and blue.
I wore the “Green-wich Village” to the cabin and took this shot on a bike ride around Camp Sherman. Patricia has been inundated with manicures and pedicures of late. It has been great fun to see all of the bright tones walking out our door.
UPTOWN HEARSAY:
Andrew the insurance man just stopped in. He’s a pretty one. Jamie went to the Indiana Jones Movie courtesy of Rob Withers (of the Witherstein family). He is our new payroll guru for Primepay.
HAIR RECYCLING
Well now, the heat has arrived!
This past week Visual F/X shipped off its first batch of hair recycling. It is currently on its way (thanks to Postal Annex) down to the bay area where it will be reconstituted into mats made to aid in the clean up of oil spills. We are excited to join in this effort along with other salons across the nation to do our part in cleaning up the environment. The mats are reusable, but when they are fully saturated, the environmental group has come up with an even more environmentally friendly way of disposing of them. Please check out more info at the groups website: www.matteroftrust.org.
Also, to add to our list of recycled materials, we have been recycling our used hair foils! After much research it was discovered that there IS in fact a way to recycle foils that have been used with hair-color chemicals! This is thrilling because in doing so we have reduced the salon’s waste by 2/3rds!!! That’s huge! Thanks to everyone at the salon for making this possible!
UPTOWN HEARSAY:
- Veria, a “wellness” store/yoga & palates studio is soon to dwell in the old Uptown Hardware locale. Congrats to client Mina Schnitzer for what we hear was an outstanding performance in Portland’s own Dancing With the Stars Competition . Also, Lare and Jamie are off to the cabin for the weekend with the UPS guy! LOL
