WINTER STORM
Happy almost after Holiday’s to all! This year being extra strange due to weather and economy I’m sure everyone feels a bit relieved for them to have come and gone. The Salon had to close a few days due to snow and left us all feeling stir crazy and ready to return before the melt even began.
Today is New Years Eve and although plans for tonight seem more mellow than usual, I am finding time to reflect on all that 2008 has brought. Thanks so much to all that came and supported us this past year. We appreciate your patronage but mostly we feel so lucky to have you all to share our lives with.
Big plans ahead for 2009! Visual F/X Salon will undergo a remodel, hoping to inspire others in the industry, by making the switch from synthetic to eco-friendly, sustainable building materials. Along with the physical facelift there is talk of a name change so stay tuned for that.
Also, we are adding KMS California to our arsenal of hair products. Come in for a sample of all that this expansive line offers.
Most of all we want wish everyone a healthy and happy new year! May 2009 fulfill your dreams in more ways than you knew possible. Remember to laugh a lot and take good care of yourself. We look forward to serving all of your beauty and wellness needs in the upcoming year! CHEERS!
MOVIE REVIEW
Once again Rob Withers, (of the Witherstein family), brought by sneak preview movie passes. The upcoming release is titled “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” It was long. The cinematography and makeup were pretty impressive although the film pace seemed to drag a bit. Interesting concept with some stimulating sub-plots but all in all the consensus was that it was so-so. Brad Pitt sure is a pretty man though, almost worth a trip to the theater. Cate Blanchett isn’t too hard on the eyes either.
In the salon world, December is a hustle bustle time of year. This year is particularly exciting for us with all the changes of late. Candra has completed her apprenticeship and is officially on the floor beautifying clients. The fresh addition to the group is Jamie Parshall, our new Associate, who is already fitting in beautifully to our ever growing family. In addition to all of this change, we welcome back Heather, who has returned to work with us after a three year hiatus.
We all feel honored to work with such an amazing group of people and welcome these changes with open arms!
