A LOOK @ BUMBLE POLISH & SHINE
These looks were achieved with the help of Bumble 1. Brilliantine and 2. Shine
Polished and shiny are adjectives we positively associate with most things in life, and yes, your hair included. Even though “My, what shiny hair you have” wasn’t a line the wolf played on Little Red Riding Hood; if he knew enough about the ladies he might have tried it. Heck, even babies are drawn to shine! Take a minute to read about some of Bumble’s products that are guaranteed to add enough polish and shine to your lovely locks that “My, what shiny hair you have” might just be a line that makes it in your book.
- Gives hair polish and a sort of languid, slept-in, sexy look with separation and extra sheen.
- Who: Anyone; good for thick, coarse or dry hair. When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion, on its own or with other products to separate, create a smooth texture and shine. How: Start with the tiniest bit and build up as needed; squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers to tousle or a comb to sleek.
- This ultimate lightweight shine-enhancer delivers feather-light finish and glimmer without causing hair to fall flat.
- Who: Those lacking lustre; especially good for naturally dry or dull hair. When: Use with hot tools or after styling for smooth texture, high shine and a polished finish. How: A little goes a long way - start sparingly and add more as necessary; hold can 10-12 inches from dry hair and spray in fluid, even strokes (for more precision, spray onto hands and work through hair).

“BE PREPARED” BUMBLE PRODUCTS
These looks were achieved with the help of 1. Prep 2. Tonic lotion 3. Grooming creme
The boy scouts taught us to always be prepared, and that’s a lesson we can take to any aspect of life, even hair. While you can’t always be prepared for those bad hair days, uncontrollable fly-a-ways and bangs with a mind of their own, you can do your best (and I think that’s all the scouts could really ask for anyway). Be prepared by applying products such as prep, tonic lotion and grooming creme to damp hair, or use to dampen your hair to reactivate products already in your hair, to help achieve and maintain your desired do.
- This nutrient-rich detangler reveals texture, enhances the performance of styling products and quickly re-freshens already styled hair without weighing it down.
- Who: Anyone; best for ‘virgin’ (uncolored), ultra-fine, limp, relatively healthy hair. When: When hair is damp to detangle and prepare hair for styling; anytime to dampen and reactivate products already in hair. How: Spray liberally and evenly (it’s impossible to use too much) on damp hair and work through.

- A blend of herbs, vitamins & Tea Tree Oil replaces moisture, soothes, detangles, enhances the performance of products and reminds us of old-school barbers’ elixirs.
- Who: Anyone; especially dry, coarse, porous or colored hair. When: Daily; to detangle and prepare hair for styling; anytime to dampen and reactivate products already in hair; to wet down hair and lubricate the blade while cutting. How: Spray liberally and evenly on damp hair and work through.
- Not so perfect, lived in texture really can come easily with this styling moisturizer, which gives natural separation, subtle hold, and a soft, smooth low-glow satin finish.
- Who: Anyone; good for thick, coarse, and afro textures or dry hair; good for men, minimalists or one-minute styling. When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion, on its own or with other products to add texture and shine. How: Start with a very small amount and build up as needed; squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers to tousle, slick with a comb.

A LOOK @ BUMBLE GELS
These looks were created with the help of 1. gel and 2. gellac
Hair gel is kind of an old-fashioned word to some, like panythose or thong slippers. This doesn’t mean it can’t be an amazing product. Bumble and Bumble thinks gel has both a historic and current place in the haircare world, and so do we. Let’s take a look at two of Bumble’e gel products, and remember, while gel can help you master those classic looks it’s also great for mohawks.
Gel:
- The multi-talented sculpting medium that molds firm and shiny shapes, or brushes into soft, yet still-shapely forms (and it’s alcohol free).
- Who: Anyone. When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion; before setting and styling
How: Work a small amount through hair (add more as necessary); style and let dry; brush through for softer look.
Gellac:
- This sure-hold gel-lacquer freezes shapes with a sculpted, glistening finish - no movement, no brush-outs - it’s in until you wash it out.
- Who: Anyone who wants hair to REALLY stay put. When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic, before setting and styling
How: Start sparingly and increase as needed; work a small amount through towel-dried hair (the drier the better) and sculpt, mould, spike or slick.
GRAMMY HAIR
And the red carpet season continues…
The Grammy’s were flamboyant in it’s performances and in it’s red carpet looks. We don’t need a groundhog to tell us avant-garde is in. While these over-the-top looks might not make it on your everyday list, they sure are exciting to look at (it’s art folks), and can even inspire some toned-down looks. Here’s a recap of our favorite “wowzers” in addition to some totally tamable looks.
1. Lady Gaga’s two-toned blondie (wig)
2. Rhianna’s rooster-do went lovely with her chick-a-dee gown.
3. Adam’s dark-do matched his brows, liner and tie perfectly.
1. Carrie Underwood’s curls are as luscious as as her gown.
2. Katie Perry balanced her more out-there gown with some classic bangs… which we dig.
3. It’s a two-fer with Nicole’s faux bob and Keith’s shaggy do.
